Union Public Selection Commission has released the applications for Central
Armed Forces Assistants Commands Examination 2015.The written examination will be held on July 12 for the
recruitment of group A in Central Armed Police Forces.Based on the Examination UPSC recruits for Border
Security Forces(BSF),Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF),Central Industry Security Force(CISF),Indo-Tibetan
Border Police(TIBP)and Sashastra Seema Bal(SSB).
UPSC CAPF 2015 – Exam Notification, Eligibility:
The agency’s charter is granted by the Constitution of India. Articles 315 to
323 of Part XIV of the constitution, titled as Services Under the Union and the States, provide for a Public
Service Commission for the Union and for each state. The examination is one of the toughest examinations in
India with success rate of 0.1%-0.3%.The Commission consists of a Chairman and ten Members. The terms and
conditions of service of Chairman and Members of the Commission are governed by the Union Public Service
Commission (Members) Regulations. The Chairman and other members of the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)
are appointed by the President of India. At least half of the members of the Commission are Civil Servants
(working or retired) with minimum ten years of experience either in Central or State service.The Commission is
serviced by a Secretariat headed by a Secretary with two Additional Secretaries, a number of Joint
Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries and other supporting staff.
Every member hols office for a term of six years or until he attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is
earlier.

He can submit his resignation at any time to the President of India. He may be
removed from his office by the President of India on the ground of misbehaviour (only if an inquiry of such
misbehaviour is made and upheld by Supreme Court) or if he is adjudged insolvent, or engages during his term
of office in any paid employment outside the duties of his office, or in the opinion of the President unfit to
continue in office by reason of infirmity of mind or body.
UPSC is amongst the few institutions which function with both autonomy and
freedom along with the country’s higher judiciary and lately the Election Commission.

Eligibility Criteria of examination:
Person should be a citizen of India. The post of Assistant Commandants in
CRPF, CISF, SSB and BSF is
available for both Male and Female candidates. However, for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants
in ITBP only male candidates are eligible.The candidates who are applying for the exam must have attained 20
years and must not have attained 25 years on august 1, 2015.
Educational qualifications:
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an
Act of the Central or State
Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be
deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent
qualification.
Application fees:
The candidates (except female/SC/ ST candidates who are exempted from payment of
fee) are required to pay a
fee of Rs 200 (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by
using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of
Mysore /State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
Candidates should notice that PAY-CASH mode option will be deactivated by 11:59
PM of May 14, 2015.
Last date for submission of applications: The online applications can be submitted by up to May 15, 2015 till
11:59 pm, after which the link will be disabled.
